Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Corporate Repair and Maintenance Manager in Port Services, you will be the driving force behind ensuring that all port equipment and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards to ensure safe and efficient operations. You will oversee a team of skilled technicians and coordinate with various departments to ensure maintenance activities align with business objectives and comply with all relevant regulations. Your role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for prioritizing maintenance projects, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring the highest level of service readiness within the port environment. Your strategic insights and operational focus will contribute significantly to enhancing operational efficiency and reducing downtime.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies for port infrastructure and equipment.
- Lead and manage a team of technicians and maintenance staff effectively.
- Coordinate with port operations to schedule and prioritize maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all maintenance tasks.
- Monitor the condition of port facilities and recommend improvements as needed.
- Manage and oversee the preventive maintenance program to prevent equipment failures.
- Analyse maintenance data to develop insights and improve procedures.
- Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance and repair activities within the port.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external service providers.
- Conduct staff training programs to enhance skills and safety awareness.
- Regularly report on maintenance activities and KPIs to senior management.
- Implement cost-effective practices to reduce operational downtime and maintenance expenses.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management roles.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance processes and safety regulations is required.
- Proven leadership and experience managing technical teams effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret maintenance data and statistics.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
