Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Corporate Sustainability strategy and annual plans.
- Ensure alignment of initiatives with Zain Group s sustainability pillars, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and international ESG standards.
- Propose enhancements to sustainability procedures to drive long-term impact.
- Implement the corporate sustainability roadmap by identifying, planning, and executing initiatives that address key social, environmental, and governance priorities.
- Develop and manage CS programs including community empowerment, climate change awareness, sponsorships, and global or local initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to embed sustainability practices across business units.
- Support employee engagement programs by promoting a culture of volunteering and developing internal campaigns in collaboration with HR and Internal Communications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, NGOs, private sector partners, and government entities to maximize social impact.
- Represent Zain Iraq at sustainability forums, conferences, and industry platforms, staying abreast of global and regional best practices.
- Liaise with sustainability departments in other organizations to foster partnerships and knowledge exchange.
- Track, measure, and report the progress of sustainability initiatives and KPIs.
- Contribute to the preparation of sustainability reports in alignment with recognized reporting standards (e.g., GRI, UNGC, SDGs).
- Ensure compliance with internal governance requirements and external sustainability frameworks.
- Contribute to the achievement of the Corporate Sustainability Department s objectives through active participation in planning, execution, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support knowledge sharing and capacity building within the sustainability team.
- Carry out assigned activities with minimal supervision while upholding high standards of quality and accountability
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor s degree in business administration-related field or equivalent
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with at least 1 year in a similar role
