Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage audit engagements covering treasury functions, derivative valuations, hedge accounting, IFRS 9/FRS 102 compliance, and impairment models.
  • Provide specialized financial instrument insights and independent assurance across the treasury lifecycle.
  • Address complex accounting and auditing matters that influence both client and industry best practices.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and deliver strategic, value-driven insights to CFOs and treasurers.
  • Drive innovation in treasury audit methodology and support continuous process improvement.
  • Collaborate across Deloitte service lines and regional teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Advise clients on accounting implications of treasury transactions and hedging strategies.
  • Support audit teams with treasury-related technical guidance and ensure audit quality through professional skepticism and adherence to firm standards.
  • Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and deliverables efficiently while mentoring junior team members.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in public accounting, auditing, or audit management, preferably within a Big 4 firm.
  • Proven expertise in treasury function audits, financial instrument valuation, and hedge accounting.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS 9, IAS 39, and FRS 102 accounting standards.
  • Professional qualification such as ACA, CPA, or equivalent (or actively pursuing certification).
  • Demonstrated commitment to audit quality, integrity, and client service excellence.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills with the ability to influence senior executives.
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
