Job Description:
Cost Accountant with 3 years of experience in the furniture manufacturing industry, specializing in cost control, cost analysis, and financial reporting for wood, kitchens, and customized furniture production. Strong background in monitoring material, labor, and overhead costs to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate and analyze product costs for furniture items, including raw materials, labor, and factory overhead.
- Prepare cost sheets and bills of materials (BOM) for kitchens, wardrobes, and custom furniture projects.
- Monitor actual production costs versus standard costs and analyze variances.
- Control and track raw material usage, waste, and scrap rates.
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, and warehouse departments to ensure accurate cost data.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and support management in pricing and budgeting decisions.
- Assist in inventory valuation and stock reconciliation.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal cost control procedures and accounting standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience: 3 Years
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles in manufacturing.
- Experience with furniture production processes and materials.
- Proficient in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
