Cost Control Engineer

GMC

Monitor, analyze, and report project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets and forecasts.

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems, procedures, and standards for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Prepare detailed cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses for management review.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to track expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Review and validate contractor and supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and project budgets.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets, estimates, and tender documents.
• Identify and assess financial risks, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies.
• Support the preparation and evaluation of change orders and claims, ensuring accurate cost impact assessments.
• Participate in project meetings to provide cost-related insights and updates.
• Ensure all cost control activities adhere to company policies, industry standards, and client requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering
• 2 7 years experience in cost control
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with contract administration and procurement processes.
