The Cost Control Officer is responsible for managing and monitoring the financial aspects of the project, ensuring that costs remain within budget while maintaining quality and efficiency. The role involves cost estimation, tracking, reporting, and liaising with project managers, procurement teams, and finance departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement cost control systems, procedures, and reporting standards.

Monitor project budgets, actual expenditures, and forecasted costs.

Conduct cost variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.

Review and validate contractor and supplier invoices against contracts and work progress.

Coordinate with procurement and project teams to optimize cost efficiency.

Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with financial and contractual obligations.

Prepare periodic cost reports and present financial updates to management.

Support in the preparation of claims and change orders.

Use cost control software and ERP systems for accurate financial tracking.
