Dekerco Foods and Processing located in Fanar is looking for a Cost Controller.

Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Reporting: Analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead. Prepare detailed cost reports, variance analyses (comparing actual costs to budgeted costs), and financial statements. This data helps management make informed decisions.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage the annual budget for manufacturing operations. This includes forecasting costs and revenue to plan for future financial performance.

Cost Reduction & Efficiency: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency throughout the production process. This can involve anything from renegotiating supplier contracts and optimizing inventory to implementing lean manufacturing principles and reducing waste.

Inventory & Purchasing Control: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to prevent overstocking, spoilage, or stockouts. Implement systems like First-In, First-Out (FIFO) to ensure older stock is used first. Work with suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing and maintain quality.

Process & Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy of standard recipes and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Monitor production processes to ensure consistency in portion sizes and to minimize waste and defects. This helps maintain a consistent Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for each product.

Internal Controls & Compliance: Develop and maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and reduce the risk of fraud or errors. Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various departments, including production, supply chain, and sales, to implement cost-saving initiatives and provide financial insights. Train staff on the importance of cost control measures and their impact on profitability.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is a common requirement.

Proven experience in a cost control, financial analysis, or accounting role, preferably within the food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.

Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel) are essential for data analysis and reporting.

Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills are critical.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
