Cost Engineer

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine accurate cost projections.
• Monitor and control project budgets throughout the project lifecycle, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective solutions and value engineering.
• Develop and maintain cost databases, historical records, and benchmarking data for future reference.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure alignment with project budgets and requirements.
• Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for management, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
• Support tendering and bidding processes by providing accurate cost breakdowns and justifications.
• Assist in contract negotiations by providing cost analysis and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and client requirements in all cost engineering activities.

Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related field.

• Minimum strong>3 years of experience in Cost Control/strong>.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and cost tracking.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and cost management tools.
• Ability to prepare cost reports and monitor project financial performance.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
