Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
- Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the absent teacher, adapting as necessary to meet student needs.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Support students academic and social development across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Provide feedback to regular teachers regarding student progress, participation, and any issues encountered.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, break times, and transitions as required.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and school leadership to ensure smooth handover and effective communication.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to lesson delivery, attendance, and classroom management.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or British curriculum school.
- Maximum of 5 years of relevant experience in a classroom or educational setting.
- Bachelor s degree in Education or a related field.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new classroom environments and subject areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility to cover a range of subjects and year groups as needed.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
