Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Deliver math lessons across various secondary year groups following the department s curriculum and schemes of work.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying abilities and needs of students.
- Maintain classroom discipline, promote positive student behaviour, and foster a supportive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback during cover periods.
- Collaborate with the Math Department team and communicate effectively with the Head of Department regarding lesson plans and student needs.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification or certification is preferred.
- Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to manage diverse student groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom environments and lesson plans.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
Passion for teaching and commitment to student achievement.
- Flexibility and reliability in covering various classes on short notice.
- Team player with a positive and proactive approach.
