Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Crane Operator at KILONEWTONS, your core duties will include:

  • Operating various types of cranes (e.g., mobile, tower, overhead) to lift, move, and position heavy loads with precision.
  • Reading and interpreting lifting plans, load charts, and signal instructions to determine crane capabilities and ensure safe operating limits.
  • Conducting pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance checks on equipment, reporting any defects or safety issues immediately.
  • Rigorously adhering to all KILONEWTONS and site-specific Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, ensuring a 100% safety-first approach.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with riggers, signalers, and site supervisors to execute lifts safely and efficiently.
  • Calculating load weights and ensuring they do not exceed the crane s dynamic and static lifting capacities.
  • Maintaining clear and constant communication with the ground crew using hand signals, radios, or other designated methods.
  • Completing all necessary logbooks and documentation for equipment operation and maintenance.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of strong>5 years of professional crane operation experience/strong>, with specific and verifiable experience in the strong>Gulf region (GCC)/strong>.
  • A valid, recognized Crane Operator certification and license.
  • Proven experience with multiple crane types and a thorough understanding of their mechanics and capabilities.
  • An impeccable safety record and a deep, unwavering commitment to workplace safety protocols.
  • Excellent depth perception, coordination, and reaction skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
