Reports to: Service Supervisor / Technical Manager
Department: Equipment Services


Position Summary: We are looking for a skilled and reliable "Crane Service Technician" to support its lifting operations by carrying out OEM-aligned servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on mobile, crawler, and tower cranes. This role is critical in maintaining equipment integrity, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe crane operations in industrial and construction environments.


Key Responsibilities:
- Perform OEM-specified preventive maintenance and service tasks on various crane types (e.g., Liebherr, Manitowoc, Tadano, Potain).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using OEM diagnostic tools and service manuals.
- Document service activities in compliance with OEM and Cap Blanc standards.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of crane units at project sites.
- Conduct function tests to ensure equipment performance aligns with manufacturer specifications.
- Liaise with OEM representatives for complex troubleshooting, software updates, and parts compatibility.
- Coordinate with Cap Blanc’s logistics and parts team to ensure timely availability of OEM parts.
- Promote safety and report unsafe conditions, complying with Cap Blanc and client HSE procedures.
- Provide technical input for equipment upgrades and modifications as per OEM bulletins or recalls.
- Train junior technicians in OEM-aligned practices and field service protocols.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:
- Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience servicing cranes in line with OEM protocols.
- Familiarity with crane diagnostic systems and software (e.g., LICCON, CCS, CraneSTAR).
- Ability to read and interpret OEM technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, control systems, and safety devices.
- Valid driving license and ability to travel to client and field sites.
- OEM training certifications (e.g., Tadano, Liebherr, Manitowoc) preferred.
- LEEA certification or knowledge of lifting standards is an added advantage.
