Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


The Credit Analyst is responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers and making recommendations on credit applications. This role involves gathering and analyzing financial data, reviewing credit reports, and evaluating the risk associated with extending credit to clients. The Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial stability and sustainability of the company's lending activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Credit Evaluation:
- Evaluate credit applications and assess the creditworthiness of borrowers.
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other financial data to determine the risk level.
- Conduct industry and market research to evaluate the financial health and stability of borrowers.
2. Risk Assessment:
- Assess the risk associated with extending credit and make recommendations on credit limits and terms.
- Identify potential risks and areas of concern and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
3. Credit Monitoring:
- Monitor the credit performance of existing borrowers and identify early warning signs of financial difficulties.
- Review and analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information on an ongoing basis.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare credit analysis reports documenting the evaluation and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of credit evaluation, approvals, and monitoring activities.
- Generate periodic reports on credit portfolio quality and performance.

Desired Candidate Profile


- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Credit Analyst or a similar role, with 2-4 years of experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other financial data.
- Knowledge of credit evaluation and risk assessment principles and practices.
- Familiarity with lending regulations and compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
