At a time when natural gas was widely understood as an undesirable by-product of oil production, Crescent Petroleum took a long view of the regional market and invested its resources accordingly, pioneering a number of initiatives that placed us at the forefront of the region's integrated long-term gas projects. Founded in 1971 in the Emirate of Sharjah, Crescent Petroleum is the Middle East's oldest private upstream oil and gas company. With over five decades of experience, we have built a distinguished track record in oil and gas exploration, production, and processing across the region. Through our strategic partnerships, including our role in establishing Dana Gas and the Pearl Petroleum joint venture, Crescent Petroleum has been instrumental in developing significant natural gas resources in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the UAE. Given both the challenging and volatile environments in which we operate, the health, safety, and security of our people are of the highest consideration.
