Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and stabilize critically ill patients with complex medical conditions, providing immediate and life-saving interventions.
- Interpret complex diagnostic data, including lab results, imaging, and hemodynamic monitoring, to guide treatment decisions and optimize patient outcomes.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary critical care teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Perform and interpret invasive procedures such as central line placement, arterial line insertion, and bronchoscopy to facilitate patient management.
- Prescribe and manage vasoactive medications and other critical care medications to maintain hemodynamic stability.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting patient progress, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and prognosis, offering empathetic support.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of critical care services and improve patient safety.
Desired Candidate Profile
Possess a valid MOH UAE medical license or Evaluation Certificate - classified as "Critical Care Specialist"
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a critical care setting - Post Qualification.
Board certification or board eligibility in critical care medicine is mandatory.
A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution is essential.
Demonstrated experience in managing a wide range of critical illnesses and injuries, including sepsis, ARDS, and multi-organ failure.
Advanced proficiency in performing invasive procedures, such as central line placement and intubation.
