Roles & Responsibilities

The Cruise Ship Terminal Supervisor is responsible for managing all terminal operations involving passenger services and baggage handling. This role ensures efficient, safe, and seamless embarkation and disembarkation processes while maintaining high standards of customer service. The supervisor directs terminal staff, coordinates with cruise lines, port authorities, vendors, and security teams to deliver an excellent guest experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee passenger check-in, boarding, and disembarkation operations to ensure smooth flow and compliance with all safety and security regulations.
  • Lead and supervise terminal staff focused on passenger assistance, crowd management, and resolution of guest inquiries or complaints.
  • Manage baggage handling processes including accurate tagging, secure transportation, loading, unloading, and delivery to guests.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders such as port security, customs, transportation providers, and cruise line representatives.
  • Enforce regulatory compliance for passenger safety and baggage security throughout terminal operations.
  • Address cases of lost, damaged, or delayed baggage promptly to facilitate quick resolution.
  • Monitor and improve customer service processes to enhance passenger satisfaction.
  • Maintain operational documentation, schedules, and reports related to terminal activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in cruise operations, port services, logistics, or passenger handling.
  • Strong knowledge of baggage logistics, passenger services, and relevant regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with diverse teams and interacting with passengers.
  • Proven leadership abilities including team training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and operational software.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours including weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
  • Relevant security clearances or port access certifications may be required depending on location.
