Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Under supervision of Custodian Supervisor, ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned in accordance with PWS and industry standard. Ensures personnel complete all tasks in accordance with the Public Works Safety Policy, Performance Work Statement, and LOGCAP V Environmental, Safety & Health directives. Correctly capture data related to maintenance work orders for carpet cleaning services, preventative maintenance inspections, and urgent/emergency Customer requests using Microsoft Office applications. Performs inventory control and transport to various work sites the supplies needed to complete the work of the department; monitor the use and care of the supplies and equipment. Performs routine inspection of all assigned areas and evaluate the total work of employees against established standards, insuring training needs are met, and counseling on job performance. Develops information, maintain records, and prepare a variety of reports e.g. custodial workloads, service requirements. Maintain cleanliness to assigned areas in accordance with the Vectrus LOGCAP V Performance Work Statement, Technical Exhibits, and Internal Work Instructions. Inspect all equipment related to the primary duties to ensure equipment is serviceable and report any deficiencies to the Supervisor for any items that require repair or replacement. customers. Maintains adequate supplies in utility closets, custodial carts, and storage containers.
Responsibilities

Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- High School diploma. Associate degree preferred
- Training in custodial services use with Carpet Shampooers, Carpet Extractors is preferred.
- Familiarized with safety training on proper handling of linen, blood borne pathogens, and bed bugs.
- A valid US driver s license is required, and able to obtain Local Driver s License.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Secret Clearance
- Must have valid US Passport.
- Must be US citizen.
Experience:
- Two (2) years experience
Skills:
- Practices, methods, equipment, tools, and materials used in custodial work and carpet cleaning.
- Characteristics and use of commercial custodial compounds.
- Principles and practices of working safely
- Must be able to complete a task when instructed to do so by the Manager, or USG Customer.
- Must be able to assist in the preparation of Internal Work instruction and prepare work schedules.
- Must be flexible and have excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to recognize and quickly resolve customer issues, lead the custodial team, and work independently with little or no supervision.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks at any given time.
Working Conditions:
- Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
- Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements:
- Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
- Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
