Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Customs Clearance & Logistics Officer to join our team in DRC. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of port operations, import/export procedures, and be fluent in French.

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle customs clearance procedures for imports and exports at the port.
- Prepare and submit all required documentation to customs authorities.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transporters to ensure smooth cargo movement.
- Monitor shipments and resolve any port or customs delays.
- Ensure compliance with DRC customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Maintain accurate records of all clearances and logistics operations.
- Liaise with government entities, port authorities, and clients.

Desired Candidate Profile

Proven experience as a Customs Broker / Clearing Agent in DRC ports. Strong knowledge of DRC customs system, tariffs, and port procedures. Excellent command of French written and spoken. English is a plus. Good negotiation and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Based in or willing to relocate to the port area.
