Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Engage with operations coordinators and assist clients requiring import/export/Freezone clearance services.

  • Responsible for reviewing all customs clearance related documents for accuracy and compliance to ensure that they meet customs requirements.

  • Familiar with local and FTZ customs regulations and procedures, proficient in the operation of customs clearance software, such as the operation of Dubai Trade platform.

  • Knowledge of import and export requirements for different goods (including dangerous goods and general goods), tariff calculation, and the ability to apply for import and export qualifications and certificates.

  • Maintain strong relationships with Ports & Customs, DPW, Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, and other related government authorities

  • Must have a good rapport with customs inspection teams and be able to resolve any issues/delays in operations.

  • Promote MFC’s AEO-certified capabilities and sector expertise.

  • Coordinate with internal operations and establishing SOPS to ensure smooth execution and compliance.

  • Assist with Dubai customs registration, Importer and Exporter code issuance, customs renewals, and updates.

  • Share relevant customs notices and policies to all concerned.

  • Ensure compliance with UAE FTA customs regulations and tariff classification requirements

  • Handle duty and VAT calculations for commercial imports under UAE Customs tariff

  • Manage ATA Carnet, TIB (Temporary Import Bond), and duty exemption applications.

  • Handle customs audit responses and resolve FTA/customs disputes.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Proficient in Arabic and English language.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in customs clearance and Freezone operations

  • Proven track record in commercial roles within the UAE logistics sector

  • Familiarity with Dubai Trade, JAFZA systems, and UAE customs regulations

  • Driving license mandatory

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Deep understanding of import/export documentation and Freezone protocols

  • Experience in import and export in or GCC region is preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate efficiently with Customs, customers, and relevant counterparts.
