Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expertise:
    Act as the primary advisor on customs-related matters including audits, valuation, tariff classification, and regulatory compliance.
  • Risk & Control Execution:
    Implement and monitor controls aligned with the company s risk management framework. Collaborate with global centers of expertise to resolve cross-border trade issues effectively.
  • Audit Management:
    Lead import and export audits in accordance with Global Trade Compliance guidelines. Facilitate business reviews on critical compliance areas and establish corrective actions to address non-compliance.
  • Regulatory Monitoring & Implementation:
    Stay current with local customs and trade regulations. Analyze their impact on internal operations and develop actionable plans for implementation.
  • Intercompany & Regional Support:
    Provide support for intercompany transactions and regional initiatives. Act as a liaison between operations in China and Egypt to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Broker Oversight:
    Manage customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate clearance activities. Conduct periodic performance audits based on established SLAs and KPIs.
  • Data Management & Reporting:
    Maintain accurate records for customs and trade compliance evaluations. Ensure data integrity for internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Free Trade Zone (FTZ) & Trade Agreements:
    Review and audit product origin, HTS classification, and eligibility under trade agreements. Maximize cost savings and duty benefits while ensuring full compliance.
  • Training & Awareness:
    Deliver training programs on international trade compliance. Promote best practices and foster a culture of compliance across the organization.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree.
  • 3:5 years of experience in the areas of customs, import/export
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with expertise in Excel
  • V. Good command in English.
  • Highly collaborative ability to excel in a team environment
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated initiative
  • Experience executing and ensuring trade compliance operations of Free Trade Agreement (FTA), Duty Draw Back and Free Trade Zone operations is a plus
