Customs & Dispatch Co-Ordinator Big Wig Consultants

Core responsibilities

• Customs clearance:

Prepare and submit the necessary paperwork for customs, liaise with customs authorities and agents to ensure timely approvals, and resolve any issues that arise.

• Shipment coordination:

Arrange and coordinate shipments via air or sea freight, book and track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of goods.

• Documentation:

Manage all required import and export documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Logistics management:

Oversee the movement of goods throughout the supply chain, including preparing and confirming dispatch schedules and coordinating with various stakeholders like suppliers, labs, and warehouses.

• Compliance and reporting:

Maintain accurate records of all customs transactions and update relevant parties on the status of shipments.

• Cost optimization:

Assist in optimizing logistics costs and improving overall operational efficiency.

Skills and experience

• UAE customs knowledge:

Strong knowledge of UAE customs regulations and import/export procedures is often a must-have requirement.

• Logistics and supply chain:

Experience with international shipping, trade documentation, and overall logistics and supply chain processes is necessary.

• Communication:

Strong communication skills are needed to effectively communicate with clients, customs officials, and other departments.

• Organizational skills:

The role requires meticulous attention to detail to manage complex documentation and logistics.

• Computer proficiency:

Experience with relevant logistics software and systems is beneficial.
