Roles & Responsibilities

Lead the global Customs Excellence program, covering valuation, FTAs, preferential origin, customs regimes, and duty impact analytics.

Own and maintain the global customs valuation framework and preventive controls.

Drive duty saving initiatives for CTBA and track measurable ROI.

Oversee preferential origin enablement and support FTA qualification processes.

Act as the central point for customs expertise and standardize customs processes in collaboration with regional Trade Compliance Leads.

Own the HS Classification Governance Framework and supervise the Classification Lead to ensure consistent, accurate and audit ready classification globally.

Ensure alignment between classification, valuation, origin and duty optimization strategies.

Support customs related systems and tools, including SAP GTS Preferential Origin Module implementation.

Provide guidance on customs regimes (IPR/OP/FTZ) and duty efficiency opportunities.

Support internal audits, customs inquiries, and continuous compliance improvements.

Coach and develop the Customs Duties Lead, Classification Lead and Analysts.

To succeed, you will need

Strong and up-to-date understanding of World Customs Organization (WCO) rules, various customs regimes internationally, and how these impact global trade operations.

Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking capabilities combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is mandatory as it is the primary language for global operations.

Additional competencies such as proven project management skills, proficiency with customs-related IT systems (especially SAP GTS), and experience working within a multinational corporation will be considered advantages.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Trade, Customs, Law, Supply Chain Management, or closely related fields is required to ensure a solid foundational knowledge.

Minimum of 5 years' professional experience with a focus on customs valuation, Harmonized System (HS) Classification, Free Trade Agreements, rules of origin, and development or implementation of customs strategies.
