Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end customs clearance and logistics operations within JAFZA or other Free Zones. You will ensure compliance with UAE import/export regulations, optimize efficiency, manage risks, and lead the customs and logistics team to deliver smooth, cost-effective operations.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for customs clearance and logistics operations within the JAFZA Free Zone.
- Ensure compliance with JAFZA regulations, Dubai Customs requirements, and UAE import/export laws.
- Prepare, review, and manage all customs documentation, including import/export declarations, BOE, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Handle Free Zone cargo movements including inbound, outbound, transfer, and re-export operations.
- Coordinate daily with Dubai Customs, JAFZA authorities, freight forwarders, warehouses, and transport providers.
- Manage customs inspections, declaration discrepancies, penalties, and compliance risk control.
- Optimize customs and logistics processes to reduce costs and improve clearance efficiency.
- Lead, manage, and train the customs and logistics team; establish SOPs and performance KPIs.
- Support internal audits, compliance checks, and other internal management requirements.

You handle logistics challenges calmly, solve problems efficiently, and communicate effectively with internal teams, authorities, and external partners to ensure smooth, compliant movement of goods.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organization and attention to detail in customs and logistics operations
- Effective problem-solving and compliance issue resolution
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure
- High integrity with a strong focus on risk management and regulatory compliance
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Cross-cultural awareness; fluent in English and Chinese
- Bachelor s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in international logistics and customs clearance
- Strong knowledge of UAE customs regulations, Free Zones, and re-export procedures
- At least 2 years hands-on experience in JAFZA or other UAE Free Zones
- Proficient in Mirsal 2 and JAFZA e-Services
- GCC/Middle East logistics or trading experience preferred
