Roles & Responsibilities

  • Expertly interpret technical specifications, patterns, and designs to create precise cutting layouts, minimizing fabric waste, and maximizing efficiency.
  • Supervise and train cutting room staff, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and production deadlines.
  • Strategically plan and optimize fabric utilization by meticulously analyzing patterns and fabric characteristics, leading to cost savings.
  • Oversee the cutting process, ensuring accuracy in measurements, alignment, and the execution of all cutting techniques including manual and automated systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Technology, or a related field.
  • Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in a cutting room environment within the apparel or textile industry.
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in pattern grading, fabric spreading, and various cutting techniques.
  • Exhibits a deep understanding of fabric properties, including shrinkage, stretch, and grain direction.
