Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Arab Bank PLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Engagements Specialist to connect our cybersecurity teams with key stakeholders across the bank. In this role, you'll integrate security practices within non-security projects, prioritize tasks, and manage communications to support our cybersecurity objectives and ensure alignment throughout the organization.
This position will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and management of cybersecurity services by ensuring that they are effective, efficient and meet the needs and expectations as well as managing adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), overseeing proper escalation processes, prioritize critical tasks, and maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have an excellent project management and communication skills, along with experience with IT service and tasks management tools like JIRA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate effective relationships with both security and non-security stakeholders to incorporate cybersecurity initiatives into various projects.
- Project Involvement: Actively contribute cybersecurity insights to enhance outcomes of a variety of bank-wide projects, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Request Prioritization: Evaluate and prioritize business tickets and requests for cybersecurity teams, focusing on urgency and potential impact.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate priorities, track progress, and handle requests with various cybersecurity teams to ensure coordinated efforts.
- Project Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity projects, ensuring they align with the bank's broader objectives.
- Process Improvement: Identify and execute improvements to the cybersecurity engagement process, fostering operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor metrics to assess and report on the success and improvements of cybersecurity initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate effective relationships with security and non-security stakeholders to facilitate seamless integration of cybersecurity initiatives within non-security projects.
- Project Involvement: Actively participate in a variety of bank-wide projects, applying cybersecurity insights to enhance outcomes and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Request Prioritization: Assess and prioritize business tickets and requests for cybersecurity teams, applying a risk-based approach to determine urgency and impact.
- Team Collaboration: Liaise with different cybersecurity teams to effectively communicate priorities, track progress, and manage requests, ensuring coordinated efforts across departments.
- Project Delivery: Drive the end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity initiatives, working closely with teams to achieve project goals and maintain alignment with organizational objectives.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to the cybersecurity engagement process, fostering greater efficiency and effectiveness within project execution.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor performance metrics for cybersecurity initiatives, enabling assessment and reporting of project success and process improvements.
- Oversee the adherence to SLAs to ensure consistent and high-quality cybersecurity services delivery and (KPIs) to measure service quality and performance.
- Identify and implement corrective actions when SLA performance falls below expectations.
- Provide regular updates and reports on cybersecurity services performance to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze the regular updates and reports by identifying areas for improvement, ensuring accountability and proactively address issues.
- Oversee the change management process for security-related changes, ensuring they are assessed, authorized, and implemented in a controlled manner.
- Implement and manage an effective escalation process to handle high-priority issues.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, management, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on expectations and service delivery.
- Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, and ensure that cybersecurity services align with their requirements.
- Develop and implement processes/strategies to enhance stakeholders satisfaction by gathering and analyzing their feedbacks on cybersecurity services.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certifications: PMP or Scrum Master certification is preferred.
- Project Management Passion: Experience and enthusiasm for project management, with an ability to manage complex projects and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- IT Background: An IT foundation is preferred, assisting in understanding and integrating technological needs into project planning.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical for effective stakeholder engagement and achieving team unity.
- Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile methodology is beneficial for adaptive project management
Competencies:
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and technologies.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and performance improvement.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders and diverse audiences.
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools like JIRA
- Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions during emergency situations.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Power point and Power BI.
- Project and resources management skills.
Experience:
- (2-7) years of experience in a related field.
