Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform daily milking of cows, ensuring adherence to strict hygiene protocols to maintain milk quality and animal health.
- Monitor cow health closely, identifying and reporting any signs of illness or distress to the farm manager for prompt veterinary attention.
- Administer medications and treatments to sick or injured animals as directed by veterinary staff or farm management.
- Assist with calving and newborn calf care, ensuring safe deliveries and providing essential colostrum and nourishment.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent education, demonstrating foundational knowledge.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a dairy farm setting, with a proven track record.
- Familiarity with dairy cattle breeds, their behavior, and common health issues.
- Proficiency in operating and performing basic maintenance on farm machinery and equipment.
