Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop original dance pieces, considering music, theme, and overall artistic vision to create a unique performance.
- Translate musicality into movement, precisely interpreting rhythm, tempo, and dynamics to craft emotionally resonant choreography.
- Collaborate with costume designers, lighting technicians, and stage managers to integrate all aspects of the production seamlessly.
- Select and audition dancers, evaluating their technical skill, artistic expression, and suitability for the choreography's demands.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Dance or a related field, providing a foundational understanding of dance theory and practice.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional dance experience, demonstrating a proven track record of creating and executing choreography.
- Strong proficiency in various dance styles (e.g., ballet, contemporary, jazz), showcasing versatility and adaptability.
- Proven ability to create original dance pieces that effectively convey emotion and tell a story.
