Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Collect, clean, validate, and analyze large datasets related to aircraft utilization, block hours, cycles, ground time, delays, and operational performance.

  • Identify trends and patterns affecting aircraft availability, schedule integrity, or maintenance readiness.
  • Support the optimization of aircraft routing and utilization through data insights.
  • Develop, maintain, and automate KPI dashboards, including:
  1. Utilization rate
  2. On-time performance
  3. Technical Dispatch Reliability
  4. Aircraft availability
  5. Ground time
  6. Maintenance-driven downtime
  • Produce daily/weekly/monthly fleet utilization reports for internal teams, OEMs, lessors, and leadership.br>Analyze operational costs related to fleet use (maintenance impact, aircraft swaps, disruptions).
  • Evaluate cost-saving opportunities and quantify efficiency improvements using data models.
  • Support budget forecasting by providing trend analysis and projections.
  • Analyze maintenance schedules, MEL/CDL impacts, and technical event data to assess their effect on utilization.
  • Work with Engineering, Planning, Maintenance Control, and Reliability teams to incorporate technical factors into utilization assessments.
  • Analyze operational disruptions to support strategic improvements.
  • Conduct scenario modelling to support decisions around aircraft assignment, Engine changes, and Major Maintenance.
  • Track utilization parameters related to lease obligations (FH, FC, APU hours, limits).
  • Generate accuracy verified utilization reports for lessors and ensure data consistency across systems.
  • Develop automated reporting pipelines using BI tools, SQL, Python, or dashboard platforms.
  • Ensure data integrity across operational systems (OCC systems, maintenance systems, planning databases).
  • Recommend improvements to data processes and analytics tools.br>Provide data-backed recommendations to improve fleet efficiency and reduce operational risks.
  • Support long-term fleet planning analysis, including aircraft inductions, redeliveries, modifications, and performance impacts.
  • Participate in strategic studies related to fleet sizing, schedule planning, and operational resilience.

Desired Candidate Profile

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor s degree in data science, Aviation Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
  • Additional certifications in analytics, BI tools, or operations research are an advantage.
  • 2 5 years of experience in airline operations, operational analytics, flight operations analysis, fleet planning, or maintenance analytics.
  • Experience working with aviation datasets (schedules, fleet performance, reliability, operational KPIs).
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills for interpreting complex operational datasets.
  • Proficiency in analytical/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel skills: SQL or Python is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of flight operations, schedule planning, and basic aircraft performance principles.
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight operational timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross functional coordination.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to operational improvement.
