JOB SUMMARY

The Data and AI Analyst drives data-informed decision-making and AI adoption across KEO - ensuring strong data foundations, delivering actionable insights, and identifying innovative opportunities to leverage AI technologies within and beyond the Microsoft ecosystem. This is not a traditional reporting role. The ideal candidate is a curious, forward-thinking technologist who combines technical proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Power BI, and AI services with the consultative ability to translate business questions into data solutions - championing KEO's data literacy journey, embedding AI into reporting workflows, and ensuring all data practices meet governance, privacy, and compliance standards.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Foundations & Data Quality Management

  • AI success is only possible with strong data foundations. This pillar is non-negotiable.
  • Design, build, and maintain robust relational data models that support accurate, consistent, and trustworthy reporting across KEO business units.
  • Design, build, and maintain robust relational data models, applying strong SQL skills and transformation logic to extract, cleanse, and integrate data from multiple source systems including Autodesk Construction Cloud, ERP, HRIS, and project management platforms.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards - implementing validation rules, profiling routines, and a central data dictionary covering field definitions, lineage, and transformation rules to ensure all AI inputs are accurate, transparent, and auditable.
  • Manage data integration workflows and ETL/ELT pipeline concepts, working with the Cloud Infrastructure team to ensure data flows are reliable and fault tolerant.

AI Literacy, Enablement & Innovation Scouting

  • Curiosity and innovation mindset are the #1 differentiators of this role. The analyst must be an AI enabler, not just a report builder.
  • Demonstrate deep conceptual understanding of generative AI, predictive analytics, machine learning, and automation AI - continuously exploring and evaluating emerging tools and platforms beyond the Microsoft ecosystem based on fit-for-purpose, cost, privacy, and scalability.
  • Proactively experiment with new AI capabilities through structured proof-of-concept approaches, monitoring the global AI landscape to identify technologies with high potential value for KEO's AEC context.
  • Provide the CIO and Enterprise Digital Solutions Manager with regular AI landscape briefings, tool evaluations, and strategic recommendations grounded in responsible AI principles.

Microsoft Copilot & AI Productivity Expertise

  • Design and refine effective prompting strategies and reusable prompt libraries for Microsoft Copilot across Microsoft 365, identifying high-value workflow candidates for AI augmentation using Copilot, Power Automate, and Azure AI Services.
  • Deliver Copilot adoption training and enablement sessions, measuring and reporting on productivity impact - tracking adoption metrics, time savings, and business outcomes to demonstrate ROI.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Workplace and Digital Knowledge Analyst teams to embed Copilot capabilities into employee experience, service delivery, and KEO's SharePoint and Viva knowledge content.

Analytics, Business Intelligence & Data Storytelling

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and self-service reports using scalable DAX and Power Query data models, delivering real-time, decision-ready insights to KEO leadership and operational teams.
  • Build meaningful data stories that translate findings into business language, conducting proactive analysis to surface trends, anomalies, and forward-looking insights beyond reactive reporting.
  • Maintain a centralized BI catalogue and facilitate data literacy workshops to build confidence among business users in consuming and acting on data.

AI Use-Case Development & Proof-of-Concept Delivery

  • Systematically identify and prioritize high-value AI opportunities across KEO business units - assessing feasibility, data readiness, and expected ROI across use cases including project risk prediction, resource forecasting, cost variance analysis, document intelligence, and automated reporting.
  • Design and build lightweight AI proof-of-concept solutions using Microsoft Fabric AI, Azure OpenAI, or Azure Machine Learning, presenting results to the Enterprise Digital Solutions Manager and CIO in clear, business-focused language.
  • Track business value delivered by implemented AI solutions and work with software developers to scale successful POCs into production, providing clear requirements, data specifications, and evaluation criteria.

Data Governance, Privacy & Responsible AI

  • Own and maintain KEO's data governance framework - covering data classification, ownership, retention, access controls, and quality standards - implementing Microsoft Purview or equivalent tooling to manage data lineage, compliance, and discoverability.
  • Apply responsible AI principles across all initiatives, ensuring transparency, fairness, accountability, and privacy are embedded from the outset, and work with the Cybersecurity & Digital Trust Analyst to ensure all data assets are classified, RBAC-protected, and auditable.

Automation Mindset & Workflow Optimization

  • Proactively identify manual, repetitive processes across KEO as strong candidates for automation using Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Logic Apps, or other low-code platforms, supporting the design and deployment of automation solutions in collaboration with the Digital Workplace team and software developers.
  • Document automation opportunities with clear business cases covering time saved, error reduction, and productivity gains, evaluating ROI of implemented solutions and continuously improving based on user feedback.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Typically, 8-10+ years in a data analyst, business intelligence, or data & AI role
  • Advanced Power BI (DAX and Power Query) hands-on, not introductory
  • Strong SQL and relational database knowledge
  • Data modelling and data quality management experience
  • Data pipeline and ETL/ELT concepts (working knowledge)
  • Experience with Microsoft AI tools - Copilot, Azure AI Services, or Azure OpenAI
  • Translating business requirements into data or AI solutions
  • Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Azure Machine Learning
  • Evaluating and recommending AI tools across multiple vendors
  • Microsoft Purview for data cataloguing and compliance
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera, Oracle, or SAP data integration
  • Designing AI proofs-of-concept and presenting business cases to senior leadership
  • Experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) or professional services sector is advantageous.
