You contribute to UNICEF s mission of promoting the rights of every child, everywhere, by supporting programmes, advocacy, and operations grounded in equity. By focusing on the most disadvantaged and excluded children and families, you help translate children s rights into meaningful action, ensuring that every child has an equal opportunity to survive, develop, and reach their full potential.

You play a key role in using the power of evidence to drive results for children. By generating, analyzing, and sharing high-quality data, you ensure that the right information reaches the right people at the right time, enabling informed decision-making and stronger programme impact. You support the development of robust national monitoring frameworks, improve the availability of disaggregated data, and help advance innovative approaches such as predictive analytics and frontier data use. Through these efforts, you enable more effective policies and programmes, ensuring better outcomes for children across diverse and complex contexts.

Under the supervision of the Regional Chief of Programme and Planning, the incumbent will also contribute to the strengthening of statistical and strategic analytical evidence on childhood issues in MENA countries, to the generation of data, analysis and public knowledge on child rights, wellbeing and poverty, to monitoring and assessing progress in achieving SDGs for children, and to strengthening the capacity of UNICEF COs, national governments, and regional partners in MENA to produce and use quality data and analyses on child rights related issues. The incumbent will also contribute to child-focused foresight and predictive analytics considering external factors (such as demographic, geopolitical, socio-economic) as well as insights on potential implications for programmes and policies in the region.
