Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and implement data application solutions aligned with retail business objectives. Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Manage design, development, and deployment of data applications leveraging existing tools and services. Ensure integration of data from multiple retail systems into centralized platforms. Define KPIs and build interactive dashboards for analytics and reporting. Monitor and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and application performance. Implement best practices for scalability and cost efficiency in Azure. Understand and enforce robust security measures, including identity management and role-based access control. Collaborate with data science teams to support AI / ML use cases. Manage a lean and high-performance team, mentoring and guiding data engineers, BI developers, and analysts. Maintain and operationalize the data catalog, business glossary, and metadata management practices. Oversee day-to-day Retail Data Operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline. 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Analytics including implementation, transformation, and support. Strong retail business domain knowledge and proficiency with data management tools and languages like Azure Platform, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, MS Fabric, SQL, Python, and PySpark. Expertise in data modeling, data design activities, and experience with SAP solutions such as S/4, SAP BW, and SAP BO. Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, and Alteryx is essential.
