Roles & Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support for company and customer data center environments, including server hardware troubleshooting and physical network setup.
  • Diagnose hardware issues, perform root cause analysis, and support global field deployments with tools, images, and software maintenance.
  • Handle cabling tasks (running, cleaning, labeling, dressing, tracing) and support network admins with switch setups and Layer 1/2/3 troubleshooting.
  • Develop SOPs, knowledge base articles, documentation, and lessons learned to support internal and external teams.
  • Lead pre-work meetings, provide daily status updates, and drive initiatives to completion with clear communication.
  • Ensure accuracy in RCA/FA reports and provide detailed feedback to engineering on failures and serviceability.
  • Conduct pre- and post-project follow-ups to ensure high-quality execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively in geographically dispersed teams; able to lift 50 lbs as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile

Preferred candidate profile:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Data Center Technician (6+ years preferred).
  • Strong server hardware knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Linux/Windows command line and basic scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • CCNA or MCP/MCSE certification is a plus.
