Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric for telecom network data (CDR, network performance metrics, IoT sensor data) and fintech data (transactions, customer profiles, payment logs)
  • Build ETL/ELT processes for real-time and batch data ingestion from billing systems, CRM platforms, payment gateways, and core banking systems
  • Implement data quality checks specific to telecom and financial data compliance requirements
  • Optimize data storage and query performance in Fabric Lakehouse for large-scale telecom and transaction data
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support their data requirements for ML models
  • Implement security and access controls for sensitive customer and financial data
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines and architectures

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric components (Data Factory, Synapse, Lakehouse)
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Scala for data processing
  • Experience with Azure data services (Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics)
  • Knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing concepts
  • Strong English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with telecom data (CDR, network logs, PCRF data)
  • Experience with financial data pipelines and payment processing systems
  • Microsoft Fabric certification or Azure Data Engineer Associate certification
  • Experience with real-time data streaming (Event Hubs, Kafka) for transaction processing
  • Knowledge of PCI-DSS compliance for payment data handling
