Data Governance Specialist

Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective data governance frameworks within an organization and focusing on developing policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Besides to the data should be effectively managed and leveraged to support strategic decision-making and KKESH goals.

Responsibilities:

• Create and implement data governance policies and frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Act as a liaison between data owners and users, promoting data accountability and stewardship across the organization.
• Establish data quality metrics and monitor compliance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to data protection regulations and industry standards, conducting regular audits.
• Develop and maintain a data classification schema to categorize data based on sensitivity and importance.
• Oversee the entire data lifecycle, from creation and storage to archival and deletion.
• Work with IT, legal, and compliance teams to align data governance efforts with organizational objectives.
• Create and maintain a data catalog to enhance data discoverability and usage.
• Address data-related issues and conflicts, facilitating resolution between stakeholders.
• Identify and assess data-related risks, recommending mitigation strategies.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve data governance practices.
• Performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner.
• Performs all other related duties as required or assigned.
