Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting

Analyze the data and reporting needs of various internal and external stakeholders
Develop research agenda and prioritize research activities as per GSTC objectives to improve related research output
Develop reporting framework and standard designs for standard and periodic reports that will be issued for various stakeholders
Identify partners/stakeholders (i.e., universities, OECD, international tax organizations, etc.) to collaborate with thought leaders, prepare joint studies and research and share them locally and internationally
Implement necessary measures to ensure that data is permanently available to serve the research, studies and reporting processes
Coordinate with other functions when needed to collect and align on information and data
Perform detailed research and comparative studies with similar regional and global institutions in line with research methodology to fulfill requests
Organize received information and documents and ensure completeness and reliability of content
Analyze lawsuits, case data (case classification/case type/objection type and number/plaintiff req/total amount), hearings, decisions to enable the implementation of all periodic and annual statistical studies and reports
Review data and information of submitted claims, analyze them and issue related reports
Perform studies on taxation dispute settlement procedures conducted at GSTC and its branches and develop statistical reports accordingly
Monitor the performance of the electronic system ensuring reflection of system s data and information to performance dashboards and develop accurate and timely reports to management
Conduct comparative research and studies between ZATCA operations (type and number of registered taxpayers/ number of links exported/ number and types of fines/ number of objections/ number of notices issued according to the type of each objection/ objection amounts, etc.) and compare it with the number of lawsuits registered with GSTC and the types and classifications of the lawsuits
Conduct analytical studies on the impact of media campaigns published on communication platforms on the number of lawsuits and awareness of customers
Conduct comparisons between legal and technical opinions with the minutes of committee sessions
Conduct periodic analytical studies to measure and analyze GSTC performance (case registration/ legal & technical studies/ drafting decisions, etc.)
Develop accurate and timely periodic, special and annual GSTC reports to be submitted to senior management for review and approval in preparation to be submitted to the Board of Directors of ZATCA
Coordinate for publication of reports on GSTC s website and its social media accounts

Organization and Operations

Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
Perform other duties as requested

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Statistics, Data Science & Analytics, or equivalent is required
