Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Data Privacy Risk & Compliance Management

  • Conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and manage privacy risk mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws (GDPR, PDPL, SADAI) across business operations.
  • Monitor and manage third-party vendor compliance, ensuring contracts include required data protection clauses.

Privacy by Design & Implementation

  • Embed Privacy by Design principles into new systems, applications, and data processes.
  • Oversee implementation of data protection measures such as encryption, anonymization, and pseudonymization.

Data Privacy Tools & Governance

  • Lead privacy program implementation using tools like Informatica IDMC and One Trust.
  • Partner with data governance teams to ensure privacy compliance in all data lifecycle stages.

Metadata & Data Catalog Management

  • Develop and manage metadata governance processes ensuring data accuracy and traceability.
  • Collaborate with Metadata Officers to automate tagging and improve data discovery and compliance visibility.

Document & Content Governance (ECM Integration)

  • Oversee document and content lifecycle management in line with retention and privacy policies.
  • Implement access control, encryption, and security protocols in coordination with cybersecurity teams.

Governance Alignment & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with Data Governance Managers to ensure alignment between data privacy and enterprise governance frameworks.
  • Continuously assess and enhance ECM and privacy management systems for ongoing regulatory compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Privacy, Compliance, or Information Security, including 3+ years in a DPO or equivalent leadership role.
  • Proven track record managing privacy and data protection programs within data-driven organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of PDPL, GDPR, and other regional data protection frameworks.
  • Strong hands-on experience in privacy risk assessments, DPIAs, and incident management.
  • Experience managing large-scale data governance projects across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Professional certifications preferred: CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, CDPO, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in law, Information Security, or a related field (master's preferred).
  • Added Advantagestrong: CIPP / CIPT / GDPR / DAMA Certification
