Data Science Intern TASC Outsourcing

About the Role: We are seeking a motivated Data Science Intern to join our team in Idukki. In this role, you will support data-driven initiatives by collecting, processing, and analyzing data, and help develop machine learning solutions under the guidance of senior data scientists. This internship offers hands-on experience in core data science techniques and tools. Responsibilities: Collect, clean, and preprocess datasets from various sources Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and insights Implement and evaluate basic machine learning models Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data Create clear and informative data visualizations and dashboards Collaborate with team members to document workflows and results Assist in preparing presentations and reports for stakeholders Required Qualifications: Pursuing or recently completed degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis Experience with SQL for querying relational databases Knowledge of data analysis techniques and best practices Familiarity with basic machine learning concepts and algorithms Experience using data visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills 0–1 year of relevant internship or project experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch Prior project or internship experience in machine learning applications Familiarity with data storytelling and dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) Knowledge of advanced statistical modeling techniques Exposure to big data tools like Spark or Hadoop Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
