Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Under the general guidance of the Chief of Mission COM and the general guidance of the Head of the Transition and Recovery Division, overall supervision of the DTM Coordinator and direct supervision of the National Database Officer, the Database and Information Management Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related filed from accredited academic institution with 4 years of relevant professional experience
- Completed High School degree from accredited academic institution with 6 years relevant professional experience.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience & Skills
- Extensive knowledge (at least 3 years of experience) of SQL is a pre-requisite.
- Working experience with GIS including for example production of maps, geospatial data management and quality control and/or spatial analysis for social projects, monitoring and/or analysis.
- At least 3 years of experience using some or all of the following tools: Excel, Microsoft Visual Studio (ASP .NET C#), Php, and MySQL Server, SQL server.
- Experience in Information Management, management and coordination of information flows, data management including collection, storing, processing, and analyzing data to generate information products.
- Experience in managing data entry and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
Experience with ArcGIS, PowerBI, and InDesign is an advantagespan>.
Verify the accuracy of GIS information that are received from the field team, create and edit maps.
Design and execute applications that are used to support GIS data.
Coordinate with the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping unit to ensure data has relevance to GIS coding.
Assist in design, develop, and maintain SQL database systems.
Develop SQL queries, functions, scripts and stored procedures to process data.
Assist in quality control and data retrieval mechanisms.
Support in designing solutions to integrate, centralize and automate data and information management within the program.
Support in developing data collection tools using but not limited to, the Open Data Kit (ODK) set of tools.
Support in designing reports and other products using graphic design tools.
Conducting data validation and cross checking for data received from the partners including governorate organization with data existing in database.
Perform such other duties as maybe required.
