Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Microsoft SQL Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our database systems, supporting development teams, and implementing best practices for database management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances.

  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.

  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery through backups, replication, and failover clustering.

  • Manage database security, including user access and roles.

  • Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.

  • Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and integrity checks.

  • Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and support application performance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

  • Document database configurations, procedures, and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2016 and above).

  • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS is a plus.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based SQL solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database).

  • Proficiency in T-SQL and performance tuning techniques.

  • Understanding of data backup, recovery, and security practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Certification

Added Value experience:

Having an experience on other technologies like PosgresDB, Redis DB ...etc
