Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Database Developer with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server /MongoDB databases. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into robust and efficient database solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement database schemas, tables, stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers in MS SQL Server.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.
  • Perform database performance tuning and optimization, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and server configuration.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security through appropriate database design and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data migration and integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to integrate database systems with applications.
  • Participate in database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest MS SQL Server features, tools, and best practices.
  • Document database designs, procedures, and configurations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of database development processes and standards.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with other database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with database administration tasks.
  • Experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS for SQL Server).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience as a Database Developer with a strong focus on MS SQL Server.
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts, principles, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Experience with database design, normalization, and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and processes (e.g., SSIS).
  • Understanding of database security principles and implementation.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.
