Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for the Engineering & Field Services activity of the Substation Automation Systems including DCS/SCS, RTU and Cyber security.
Understanding the project technical requirements, Customer Standards and specification and proposing the solution to customer as per the project scope.
Conducting technical activities for assigned projects (Site Survey, Base & Detail design activity, DB Engineering, Panels Integration, Pre-FAT Internal Validation, FAT support, Supervise Site installations, Site Testing and commissioning, Site Red mark-up and As Built Drawings.
Perform, coordinate and record Site testing for Signal testing, controls, measurement, interlocks, IEC61850 IED's, SCADA signals & DCS functionalities
Design of the Substation LAN networks, configuration of industrial computers, ethernet switches, Firewall routers and satellite clocks according to project design.
Knowledge of the schemes, application and SCS Database configuration of IEDs (BCUs, BCPU, RTU, IEC61850 Protection relays, AVR, Tariff meter etc.) in electrical networks.
Demonstrate EHS compliance and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team and setting the example by demonstrating the proper acts and actively observes work conditions and behaviors, giving constructive feedback and celebrating EHS effective prevention.
Support factory during Panels Integration and FAT platform setup and clarify/close any raise comments/snags during FAT.
Desired Candidate Profile
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
1-2 years' minimum relevant experience in substation automation system projects
Experienced in GE DS Agile, PACiS and GPG solutions.
Practical experience in DCS/SCS Engineering, System architecture, System Database Configuration, System Validation, FAT testing & Site testing and commissioning.
Good knowledge of communication protocols such as IEC 61850, MODBUS, IEC101/104, T103 & SNTP and communication network PRP/HSR/RSTP.
Decent knowledge of Cyber security solutions.
Experience with Utilities and Industrial customer across Middle east, preferably with Kahramaa, Qatar Energy, Q-Companies approvals shall add advantage.
Excellent in MS-Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
Ability and willingness to travel across the region (25%) without limitation
Good oral/written communication skills in English
Problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on innovative and creative solutions
Good written & verbal communication skills
Good presentation and training skills.
Fast learner, willing to learn new technologies improve technical capabilities.
