Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of the vessel, ensuring all deck tasks are completed according to safety standards and protocols.
- Handle mooring lines and fenders during docking and undocking, demonstrating precision and teamwork under pressure.
- Perform routine maintenance on deck equipment, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs to maintain vessel integrity.
- Monitor weather conditions and communicate potential hazards to the crew, ensuring readiness for changing environments.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; marine-related education is a plus.
- Previous experience in maritime operations or related fields preferred, with a minimum of 1-2 years on deck.
- Valid STCW certification and basic safety training; additional certifications such as firefighting or first aid are advantageous.
- Candidates from maritime nations or those with local knowledge of coastal areas are preferred.
