Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
News Gathering & Reporting: Research, write, and publish daily news articles, feature stories, and analytical pieces focusing on defense contracts, military hardware, and geopolitical developments.
Editorial Oversight: Edit and refine press releases, contributor articles, and internal reports to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with Defense Arabia s editorial standards.
Event Coverage: Represent Defense Arabia at key regional and international defense exhibitions, conducting live reporting, taking photographs, and interviewing industry leaders and military officials.
Industry Monitoring: Keep a close pulse on global defense trends, emerging technologies, and regional security dynamics to consistently pitch relevant and high-impact story ideas.
Content Localization: Translate and adapt complex technical and military information from international sources into engaging Arabic content.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience: Proven background in journalism, reporting, or editorial roles, specifically within the defense, aerospace, or international security sectors.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of military hardware, geopolitical affairs, and the broader defense industry.
Language Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in Arabic. Proficiency in English is highly required for sourcing and translation.
Agility: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced digital news environment and consistently meet tight deadlines.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel for on-site coverage of defense shows and press events.
