Roles & Responsibilities
Job Scope:
The Demi Chef De Partie plays a vital role in supporting the Chef de Partie and culinary team in various aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, station management, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Work under the guidance of the Chef de Partie to ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the restaurant's standards of quality and taste.
- Assist in conducting regular inspections of food products to ensure freshness, quality, and proper storage conditions.
- Support the Chef de Partie in managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that all equipment, utensils, and ingredients are organized and readily accessible.
- Rotate through different kitchen stations to gain experience and proficiency in various culinary techniques.
- Learn and master culinary techniques under the guidance of the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or other senior kitchen staff.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
- Culinary Degree or equivalent certification
- Food safety training.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, cuisines, and ingredients.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on learning and development.
