Roles & Responsibilities
strong>Every day is different at IHG, but you ll mostly be:/strong>
- Assisting in the preparation, production, and presentation of pastries, desserts, and baked items.
- Following standardized recipes while also contributing creative ideas to enhance menus.
- Ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation meet brand standards.
- Maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards within the pastry kitchen.
- Monitoring stock levels, assisting with requisitions, and minimizing waste.
- Supporting training and development of Commis Chefs and kitchen trainees.
- Collaborating with the culinary team for banquets, events, and daily service requirements.
- Handling equipment and utensils properly and ensuring they are well-maintained.
Desired Candidate Profile
strong>What we need from you:/strong>
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, with a focus on pastry/bakery.
- 2 3 years experience in a pastry role within a 4/5-star hotel or fine-dining establishment.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
- Creativity and passion for pastry and dessert preparation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
