Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Demi Chef to support daily kitchen operations. This role will be responsible for food preparation, maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth workflow during service. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
What will you be doing? • Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes and standards. • Assist with daily food preparation, cutting, mixing, cooking, and portioning. • Ensure all dishes are presented consistently with proper portion control. • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation at all times. • Follow HACCP and food safety guidelines, ensuring safe handling and storage of ingredients. • Label, store, and rotate ingredients properly (FIFO). • Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages in advance. • Assist in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries to ensure freshness and quality. • Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunction. • Reduce food waste by following preparation guidelines and efficient portioning. • Maintain cleanliness of utensils, equipment, and kitchen surfaces. • Support the team during service to ensure smooth, timely order preparation.
Desired Candidate Profile
What are we looking for? • Minimum 5 years of experience in Kitchen or food production environment • Strong cooking knowledge and understanding of food preparation techniques in Hot section or Gard Manger or Bakery • Strong attention to details and commitment to quality • Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP procedures • Ability to work quickly and efficiently during peak hours • Flexible and passionate in cooking • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
