Roles & Responsibilities

The Deputy Planning Manager is responsible for supporting the Planning Manager in developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules for large-scale projects. The role ensures alignment of project activities with timelines, resources, and deliverables, contributes to accurate progress reporting, and manages planning-related activities in the absence of the Planning Manager. Key Responsibilities: Project Scheduling & Planning Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools. Prepare short-term and long-term planning for project activities. Update schedules based on project progress and changes in scope. Progress Monitoring & Variance Analysis Track project progress against approved schedules. Analyze delays and deviations, identifying root causes. Recommend corrective actions to mitigate delays and optimize performance Reporting & Performance Analysis Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for senior management. Provide dashboards and KPI analysis to support decision-making. Assist in forecasting project completion dates and critical path updates. Coordination & Stakeholder Management Collaborate with project teams including engineering, procurement, and construction. Ensure timely delivery of resources and materials in line with project schedules. Communicate schedule requirements and updates to all stakeholders. Risk Management & Contingency Planning Collaborate with project teams including engineering, procurement, and construction. Ensure timely delivery of resources and materials in line with project schedules. Communicate schedule requirements and updates to all stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field Professional certification in Project Planning (PMP, PSP, or equivalent) is preferred 8 12 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for large-scale construction or infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of project control processes and critical path analysis Experience in progress monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis Understanding of project management, contracts, and resource allocation Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent reporting and presentation skills Effective communication and leadership skills Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities
