Job Description

The Design Coordinator for Interior Design is a pivotal role that combines the creativity of design with the organizational skills necessary to bring successful projects to fruition. As a Design Coordinator, you will be the bridge between the creative minds of designers and the practical needs of project execution. In this position, you will oversee the conceptualization, design, and implementation processes, ensuring that design visions align with client expectations and project requirements. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, vendors, and clients to suggest design ideas, materials, and layouts, as well as manage project timelines and budgets. This role demands a keen eye for aesthetics, strong communication skills, and an ability to handle multiple tasks and stakeholders efficiently. Your expertise will help to enhance the spatial and functional quality, efficiency, and value of interior spaces.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with design teams to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.
  • Oversee all phases of interior design projects from inception to completion.
  • Facilitate communications between clients, designers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Prepare detailed project schedules and timelines to guide project execution.
  • Coordinate the selection and procurement of materials and furnishings for projects.
  • Track project progress and budgets to ensure financial constraints are respected.
  • Ensure design plans comply with regulations and building codes pertinent to the project.
  • Monitor site work and offer solutions for on-site challenges promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records for internal and client review.
  • Conduct site inspections to confirm design specifications and quality standards.
  • Participate in client meetings to understand their needs and offer design solutions.
  • Prepare reports on project status, challenges, and recommendations for management.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in interior design coordination.
  • Proven expertise in project management and design software, such as AutoCAD.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and teams.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations is crucial.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality output.
