Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Design Coordinator, you will be responsible for facilitating communication and coordination within the technical design department and between other departments involved in fit-out projects. Your role involves ensuring efficient workflows, tracking project progress, and supporting the design team in meeting project objectives and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate design activities and workflows within the design department to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

  • Serve as a liaison between the technical design team, project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and collaboration.

  • Track project progress and milestones, updating project schedules and timelines as needed.

  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.

  • Organize and maintain files and records related to design projects, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

  • Coordinate meetings and design reviews, preparing agendas, minutes, and action items as necessary.

  • Support the technical design team in resolving technical issues, clarifying design requirements, and addressing project challenges.

  • Assist in the procurement process by obtaining quotes, preparing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries for design materials and equipment.

  • Provide administrative support to the design team, including organizing meetings, managing calendars, and preparing correspondence.

  • Stay updated on project requirements, design standards, and industry trends to ensure compliance and quality in design deliverables.

Desired Candidate Profile

Position Requirements

Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a coordination or administrative role, preferably in the construction or fit-out industry.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
