Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Facilitating daily technical coordination between multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless integration between wet/dry utilities and the road alignment.
Reviewing engineering drawings and BIM models to identify and resolve spatial clashes before they reach the construction phase.
Liaising with GCC government authorities and departments (such as Ashghal, ADM, or DEWA) to secure necessary design approvals and No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
Monitoring project schedules to ensure design deliverables for major expressways are submitted according to the established baseline.
Organizing and chairing interdisciplinary design workshops to bridge gaps between civil, structural, and MEP engineers.
Managing the flow of Request for Information (RFI) documents, ensuring technical queries are answered accurately and promptly.
Implementing Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures to maintain the high standards required for international consultancy contracts.
Tracking design changes and variations, assessing their impact on the overall utility network and road geometry.
Coordinating with the GIS and Topographic Survey teams to ensure design data is based on accurate, up-to-date site conditions.
Preparing weekly progress reports for senior management, highlighting potential risks or bottlenecks in the design pipeline.
Distributing updated design standards and local authority guidelines to the production team to ensure compliance with the latest regional regulations.
Validating that all utility crossings and service corridors meet the minimum separation requirements set by GCC utility providers.
Overseeing the sub-consultant submission process, ensuring their specialized designs (e.g., street lighting or ITS) align with the main road package.
Maintaining a robust document control system to ensure the latest "For Construction" or "Issued for Approval" sets are accessible to all stakeholders.
Desired Candidate Profile
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will have a minimum of a 5 years of post graduate experience that has been gained after securing an Engineering Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Civil or another suitable subject. You will have worked in a consultancy previously and be aware of the steps involved in coordinating large scale project.
